Jeff Poppinga -
Pastor Jeff was born and raised in South Dakota. Jeff graduated from Lennox High School in 1989 and in June of 1991 he married his high school sweetheart, Lori. Shortly after marriage Jeff became a believer and was called into the ministry and eventually moved his family to Pineville, KY to attend Clear Creek Baptist Bible College. After graduating with a BA in Biblical Studies, majoring in Pastoral Ministries he moved his family to Kansas City, MO to attend Midwestern Theological Seminary. While at Midwestern Jeff took the call to pastor in Trimble, MO where he served as pastor until moving his family to Spearfish, SD to pastor. Jeff moved his family to Rock Rapids in May of 2004 to pastor Faith Baptist Church where continues to this day desiring to lead the church to glorify God by exalting Christ, equipping believers, evangelizing unbelievers, all while expecting the return of Christ. Jeff and Lori have nine children: JP, Kezia, Tirzah, Jericho, Elasa, Justus, Jadon, Selah and Gracia.
Pastor Mike was born and raised in Southern California where he studied Entertainment Arts and Animation at Cal State Fullerton. Mike met his wife Nadia in 1995 and they got married in 2001. They moved to Rock Rapids in 2010 after accepting a graphic design position, but quickly realized Mike was being called to ministry. Faith Baptist Church recognized the call of God on Mike's life and began equipping him for ministry. Mike has been serving as the Associate Pastor at Faith Baptist since November, 2012. Mike and Nadia have five kids: Noah, Isaac, Elsa, Weston and Bennett.
Rachael was born and raised in southwestern Minnesota, graduated from Concordia College in Moorhead, MN, and moved to the northern Chicago suburbs for 20 years. After attending Trinity Seminary for a year, she worked for a benefits consulting firm for several years before meeting her husband, Pete. They were married in 1999, and welcomed their first daughter 2 years later. Pete & Rachael moved their family to Rock Rapids in 2014 after Pete accepted a job with POET in Ashton. They have 3 children: Noelle, Ethan, and Maggie. Rachael continues to be involved with a non-profit billboard ministry, putting God's Word up in public spaces in central Lake County, IL.
