Announcements

FaithKidz Schedule: FaithKidz is currently on summer break. It will resume on Sunday, September 9.

All-Church Potluck: Following Fellowship Time this morning (serving around Noon), we will be sharing a potluck meal. All are welcome! (Yes, even if you don’t have a dish to share!) Group 2 will be responsible for the kitchen for this event.

Help Needed This Week—Meals on Wheels: There are still some open slots this week, for anyone who is able to help. Please see the sign-up sheet on the lobby table. If you would like further information, please e-mail the church at faithrockrapids@gmail.com.

Ladies’ Camp at Shetek: All ladies are invited to Camp Shetek’s Ladies’ Camp on June 15-16. If you are interested, please see Anne Bosler after the service. Registrations are due this week.

Summer Prayer Meetings: Join us for our summer prayer meetings, Wednesday evenings at 7:30 p.m. All are welcome to come and pray for our church, our community, and beyond!

Schedule Changes: With the dedication and potluck this morning, we have moved communion. We will now celebrate communion on Sunday, June 17, which is also Heritage Days weekend, so we will start our worship service at 9:00 a.m., and have no Fellowship Time following the service. This is to allow time so that people have the option to attend the community service at 10:30 a.m. in Island Park.

FRED Sr Schedule: FRED Sr will meet every other Sunday at 8:00 p.m., starting June 10 and ending August 19.

New Snack Sign-up: Responsibility for bringing snacks is no longer assigned by work groups. Instead, for those who attend Fellowship Time, please make sure the sign-up sheet is filled in each month. Store-bought snacks are welcome!

Text:Matthew 28:18-20

1.A disciple is one who has a clear ________________ of faith in Christ Jesus the Lord. (Matthew 28:18-20; Acts 2:36-38, 16:14-15, 31-33)
2.A disciple is one who has a clear _____________________ with the followers of Christ. (Matthew 28:18-20; Acts 2:41-42)

3.A disciple is one who has a clear ________________ to make followers of Christ of all nations. (Matt 28:18-20; Acts 1:8)

Discussion Questions

1.What stood out to you in the service today?

2.Should we as parents or as a church be content if our children know what the Bible says? Why or why not? (see 2 Tim 3:14-17; John 5:39-40)

3.What are the marks of a disciple according to the message today? Do you agree with these three marks? Why or why not? (See Matthew 28:18-20)

4.How does the Lord want you to apply what you learned today? Who does the Lord want you to minister to today? This week?
